Services and Fees

Services

At this time I offer both in-person sessions as well as telehealth sessions. I offer individual therapy to youth and adults. I also provide bridge services to those waiting to get in with another provider.

I can also provide one-time Mental Health Assessments to diagnose and provide recommendations for treatment.

I am not currently accepting clients for couples or family therapy.

Fees, Payment, and Cancellation Policy

  • Initial phone consult: Free, up to 15 minutes

  • Initial session/assessment - $200

    • 50-60 minutes

  • All ongoing sessions - $170

    • 50 minutes

I accept cash, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. I also accept ApplePay

All payment is due in full at time of service.

To cancel or reschedule a session I require 24 hours notice. Cancelled sessions without a 24 hour notice are charged for the full session ($170). All missed or no-show sessions will be charged the full session fee ($170). Missed sessions are not covered by insurance and are charged directly to your card. I do offer a one-time exception for no-shows or cancellations.

It is important to me that everyone have access to mental health care. For those who are unable to meet the designated rates, I do provide a sliding scale.

Mental Health and Insurance:

If you would like to go through insurance, please schedule a time to speak with me and I can tell you if I am in network. Using insurance for mental health makes therapy more accessible to many, but it does have cons. Please understand that this is the nature of insurance.

  1. Confidentiality: You expect your therapist to keep your sessions confidential. However, insurance companies require you to have a diagnosis. To get paid, a therapist would have to provide your diagnosis and often your treatment notes to your insurance.

  2. Diagnostic Dilemmas: Many people seek out therapy for help and support, but may not have an actual mental illness. If you are one of those people, I would still have to give you a diagnosis in order to bill insurance and your diagnosis would be part of your permanent medical record.

  3. Billing Codes: While some clients seek individual, family, or marriage counseling, many insurances only cover individual counseling. This means that some costs may be out of pocket regardless of your insurance provider.

  4. Session Limits: Some insurance providers only allow a limited number of sessions (usually around 8-12 session). Most clients can expect to be in therapy for much longer than that, especially if they experience a crisis (ie loss of a loved one) halfway through treatment.

If I am not in network for you, I can provide a superbill (receipt) that you can send to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You are still required to pay for the session in full at the time of service. A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement by your insurance provider. You will need to call your insurance provider to ask if they have out-of-network (OON) benefits for mental health therapy.
